On top of that, the Nintendo Switch adds 1080p60 resolution, while the 3DS version adds a pretty fitting 3D depth effect.Grab your backpack and headtorch, and prepare to set off on a charming puzzle-platforming adventure in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS family systems on 13 th July. ![]() The new version includes new levels inspired by Super Mario Odyssey's Cascade Kingdom, Metro Kingdom, and Luncheon Kingdom, which can be unlocked by playing or by using one of the compatible amiibos. ![]() The game, a side-project by Mario masterminds Nintendo EAD Tokyo, was inspired by the very Japanese 'hakoniwa' (miniature garden) concept, and offers more than 70 levels full of little secrets, smart perspectives, and light-hearted platforming. That being the case, if you want to take a closer look, a free demo for the game just became available on the Nintendo eShop. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was one of the cutest, most charming and smartly-designed games for the Wii U, so getting a new version on both Nintendo Switch and 3DS come July 13 is good news for those who missed it the first time around (which, judging by the sales of the Wii U compared to the Switch, is a lot of you). ![]()
